Jessi and Jason - Got married and then some!

(sorry, this is a long entry....:)  Sit back and enjoy the ride.)
This is the story of a lovely lady.... No, this is not the Brady Bunch... but it does have some twists and turns.  There is a lot more to the story than "they met and fell in love." This was the beginning of an adventure of a lifetime and to make it extra fun, unexpected surprises became remarkable blessings.
If ever there was a happy little family that needed to get together, it would be the story of Jessi and Jason.  I have known Jessi for a couple of years, having worked with her as a model and on a few other photo related endeavors.  She has become a great friend and ally.
And then she met Jason, magic was certainly in the air.  They hit it off fast and there was no looking back for them.  So, when they announced their engagement, I think I was the first call they made. (ok, so that might be a stretch of the truth, but I am sure I was right up there on the list:) )
Now, I am going to show off more than just their wedding photos, because their story is a bit more complicated, but it all ends well as you will see.
Jessi had a son from a previous marriage, Jaden, and he fit perfectly into this new "family."  You would never have guessed that he and Jason didn't belong together.  Jessi became pregnant during the relationship with a little miracle baby, so we had to start off by shooting some maternity shots.
I had been wanting to shoot a maternity progression sequence for a while and Jessi was very eager to be my model for this.  She came to the studio for seven months in a row, I shot a few photos, and when the baby was born we shot the finishing touches.
Another little boy joined the family.
End of story... hardly!  Lets get to the wedding preparations.  We shot the engagement session at the Stonegate Center in Pleasant Grove, UT.  Jessi and Jason would be married here in a few months so it worked out wonderfully to shoot there.

I think Jessi loved the idea of getting married, just like all brides. She would send me photos of the shoes, the dress, the flowers, everything, as they came together.  She was excited!
She wanted a very classy and prestigious location for her bridal photos.  Well, how about the state capital?  Perfect!

Finally!  We come to the big day.  A beautiful May morning at Stonegate.  A lot of people to get ready.
And then it was time.
(sorry again for the length of this story, I will cut the number of photos shown here, but you can see the entire gallery here.)
It is really hard to stop there, but you can see the whole gallery at PeteHansenPhoto.com
As you can tell, this was an adventure.  But it did turn out to be a wonderful journey to a beautiful beginning.  Stay tuned! :)
